Our aims and objectives
The aim of the Friends is to support the Community Head Injury Service in the rehabilitation of people recovering from brain injury.
We, the Friends of CHIS, will endeavour to:

Chairman : Stuart Townsend
I trained as a nurse and worked neurological rehabilitation and have known a number of the team at the service for many years. Having worked in management in the NHS for 20+ years I have an understand how the various organisations work. Having worked alongside many friends charities I supported the development of the Friends of CHIS prior to be elected Chair.
I now operate my own business undertaking upholstery and furniture restoration.
Treasurer : Paul Bootle
Born and bred and schooled in Aylesbury and a past client of Community Head Injury service from 1998 to approximately 2018. I was not able to return to full time work after a R T A in 1996. I was a member of Bucks County Council Physical and Sensory Partnership Board representing persons with Head Injuries for many years. In 2021, official retirement occurred and my wife and I retired to Yorkshire to be nearer our family. I am the Webmaster for this website on behalf of the Friends and the Community Head Injury Service section.
